About the event

Parapride would like to invite you to celebrate their 2nd birthday by joining their new 'Dis-section' panel event on Wednesday 9th June 18.00 - 19.00.

'Dis-section' (disability section) is an online series by Parapride, an inclusive and safe digital space where they converse openly, honestly and respectfully about topics that are often not talked about in the wider LGBTQ+ community.

The topic of their upcoming event is: 'Disabling stereotypes: disability representation in the media and the LGBTQ+ society'. The panel will be formed by a line up of influential figures, who will discuss the need for a more positive representation of disabled people in the media, and how we can embrace, promote and celebrate diversities. NO to tokenism, and YES to empowerment & equality to truly reflect a beautiful, resilient and proud community!
